Itinerary
We will be leaving at 7 P.M. from Bs.As (from the meeting points)
We will arrive at San Rafael in the morning, we will make a stop to wear more comfortable clothes and adjust some details because once we get to El Nihuil the trip will be waiting for us.
Thrusday: Dirt road, impressive landscapes at the edge of Río Atuel, fresh air, reddish canyons, are just some of the reasons why you wont want to stop riding your bike. There will be plenty of stops to take pictures on the cliffs, to refresh ourselves, to eat cereal bars and some fruit. 30 kms away we will spend the first day at the huts, where a home-made meal will be waiting for us.
After having lunch activities slow down, drinking mate beside the river and enjoying the heat of the sun. In the evening we will go on trekking to a hill in front of the huts.
A deserved shower and afterwards we will have dinner (lets see which is the surprise that is waiting for us).
Friday: the caravan starts after having breakfast since we still have to travel 30 kms, with beautiful scenery which follow us the whole day. The main aim is to reach Valle Grande, where we will do some rafting, rappel, riding etc., but don’t get to excited because we won’t do rafting yet, we will leave it to the end.
Afterwards, we will pay a visit to Las Bodegas and the ones who feel strong enough can carry on riding up to San Rafael. (30 kms. approximately).
Once we arrive to the city, we will stay at a hostel where we will have tea and dinner as well.
Saturday: We won’t stop until we arrive to Los Reyunos. We leave the city taking the route number 150. Los Reyunos is a spa that is surrounded by a quarry of crystal clear water, where you can bathe in its warm waters, ride a kayak, canoe, or just sunbathe on the beach. We will eat sausage salami, loin, etc.
We will go back to San Rafael after having an afternoon snack, visiting other wineries and then we will go shopping. We will have dinner at the hostel, and we might go to a club as well.
Sunday: Our last day, we need to make the most of it so after having breakfast we will take the bus to Valle Grande to get on the boats and practice some rafting on Rio Atuel, going through Salto de La Virgen, and don’t even dream of thinking that we are over with the bikes because there’s a surprise waiting for us.
We will have lunch in San Rafael and we will get started with the return to Bs.As.
We arrive at Bs.As on Monday at 7 am.
